 Navigator Lead

Full Job Description

Southern Adirondack Independent Living (SAIL) is seeking a personable individual for a full-time position at the Queensbury office. The Lead Navigator is responsible to promote services to individuals and businesses with regard to health insurance needs, and to provide health insurance enrollment services in accordance with training and directives from the NYS Health Benefit Exchange. This position will assist in supervision and provide direct services and support to Navigator System Specialists. In addition, the position will provide information sessions, act as resource for staff and consumers for health insurance and community-based services, maintain collaborative working relationships with other community-based agencies and business partners, and assist with grant reporting requirements.

This position requires an associate’s degree in human services or a related field with at least two (2) years of experience facilitating and/or providing person-centered, culturally competent, community-based services for low income households. Experience providing services to people with disabilities is preferred with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a demonstrated ability to collaborate with community organizations and human services agencies, good written language and computer skills, and good problem-solving skills.

Location: Queensbury NY

Full-time, hourly position; 37.5 hours per week (M-F 8am-4pm)

Compensation package: Commensurate with experience, as well as health insurance, retirement plan, 14 paid holidays, and generous benefit time
